Sanctuary Care at Rye is the fulfillment of a spiritual mission to offer people who need memory care the independence, nurturing, and loving care to live their lives with dignity in a safe and secure setting. Founder Jonathan McCoy heeded the call to help his fellow man by surrounding himself with like-minded people with exceptional backgrounds and expertise to build a unique memory care residence.
Sanctuary Care at Rye is different than most assisted living because memory care is our primary mission. Conceived with the idea of offering the very best in memory care knowledge, resources and practices, every element of our community − from the residences, to common areas, to care management and staff training − is designed specifically to provide specialized care for the body, mind, and spirit of each resident. We recognize the challenges and opportunities of memory impairment and treat each resident with love, respect and understanding to bring joy to their lives.
Coastal architecture in a beautiful setting; spacious and accommodating residences; and pleasing decor give Sanctuary Care at Rye a “home-like” setting. Our “Open Space” approach fosters a sense of independence while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Add to that individualized loving care and countless amenities and our residents experience all the comforts of home…and then some.
As a premier assisted living community focused on memory care we believe that transparency is an important facet of how we operate. We are open and honest with our families, including costs, fees and care plans. We endeavor to keep our residents’ families up-to-date on their loved ones status with regular communications, family meetings and information sharing so there are no surprises. Our community is open for visits 24 hours and many family members join us for meals, activities and celebrations. Family members are encouraged to contact any member of our staff with questions or concerns. Finally, a great testament to our transparency is our Family CareSpace platform. Exclusive to Sanctuary Care, Family CareSpace provides unprecedented access to resident location and information from any browser, tablet or smartphone.
